Home Services Ceramic Coating

A 4-year ceramic coating is $299 for a sedan and $339 for a truck or SUV, applied at your home. It is backed by a warranty: if the coating fails inside four years we re-apply it free, provided the vehicle comes back to us for maintenance every 4 months and stays out of automatic car washes.

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds to your clear coat and hardens into a semi-permanent layer. Water beads off it, bugs and bird droppings do not etch as easily, and washing gets dramatically faster because dirt struggles to key into the surface.

Ours is $299 on a sedan and $339 on a truck, and it carries a 4-year warranty.

What you get

  • Paint decontaminated and prepped before any coating goes on
  • Ceramic coating applied panel by panel and levelled by hand
  • 4-year warranty — free re-application if it fails within the term
  • Water beading and easier washing for the life of the coating
  • Real UV protection, which matters more here than almost anywhere
  • Applied at your home — no shop drop-off

The warranty terms, stated plainly:

  • Bring the vehicle to us for maintenance once every 4 months
  • Keep it out of automatic car washes — tunnel brushes destroy coatings
Meet those two conditions and, if the coating fails inside four years, we re-apply it at no charge. Miss them and the warranty is void. We put this on the page rather than in fine print because it is the one thing that causes arguments in this industry, and neither of us wants that conversation in a driveway.

Questions

Ceramic Coating FAQ

How much is a ceramic coating?

Harmony Detailing charges $299 for a 4-year ceramic coating on a sedan and $339 on a truck or SUV, applied mobile at your address.

Is ceramic coating worth it?

If you keep the car more than a couple of years, generally yes. Washing gets much faster, bird droppings and bugs are far less likely to etch the clear coat, and the paint holds gloss through Inland Empire sun that would otherwise dull it. At $299 with a 4-year warranty it costs less than our one-step polish.

Why is your ceramic coating cheaper than your polish?

Because they are different jobs. The polish is hours of machine work correcting defects that are already in the paint. The coating is a protective layer applied over paint that is already in good shape. If your paint is swirled, you want the polish first — ideally both.

How long does the ceramic coating last?

Four years, with a warranty over that term, as long as it is maintained by us every 4 months and kept out of automatic car washes.

What voids the ceramic coating warranty?

Two things: skipping the 4-month maintenance, or running the vehicle through an automatic car wash. Meet both conditions and we re-apply the coating free if it fails.

Do I need paint correction before a ceramic coating?

Not always, but a coating locks in whatever is underneath it. If the paint has visible swirls, correct it first with the one-step polish — otherwise you seal the swirls in for four years.
